Each house has two double bedrooms, bathroom, a kitchen and a living room. The house also has central heating, hot water, chimney and a small shared utility room, with washing machine and cleaning materials. Outside the house there is a small garden with tables and barbecue. Also the house is equipped with everything for the kitchen, including a refrigerator, a micowave oven, coffee maker and an electric cooker.

The furniture is from the traditional Asturian craftmanship, it has been restored and adapted for the enjoyment of the visitor.

Five kilometers (three miles) from Pola de Siero, the regional capital of Siero. Careses has the original "casas de aldea" (country house) of the area of Siero. There are two original houses that have been restored for rural tourism. Here it is posible to live in contact with nature and tha Asturian rural way of life, its customs, farming equipment and traditional elements of a working Asturian farm.

Careses is situated in a large valley, at the base of "la Peña Careses" (Careses Hill), where one can enjoy the beautiful scenary, rambling and climbing.

The location of this central part of Asturian principality allows the visitor to reach Oviedo, Gijón, Avilés, Langreo, Villaviciosa and Nava in thirty five minutes by car. It is only one and a half hours to Cangas de Onís, Covadonga, Picos de Europa, Cabrales and the coastal region of Llanes by car. Therefore you one can also visit museums, such as Mining and Cider. Pre-Roman sites in Oviedo, Roman sites in Villaviciosa and the beautiful coastal scenary of Lastres, Tazones, Candás, Luanco, Cudillero ... to enjoy the diverse gastronomy of its meats, fish, seafood and fabada (beans), with the typical flavour of the Asturian cooking, to go with some "culetes" of Cider.
